Evelyn Medina joined Dixon Cooper Brown as an Associate Attorney in March of 2020. Ms. Medina started practicing workers’ compensation law in December of 2016, but she had a jump start to her legal career with close to nine years of legal assistant experience in the same practice area before going to law school.
Ms. Medina has conducted legal research and prepared discovery as a law clerk at the Alliance for Children’s Rights Benefits Division, helping to protect the rights of abused and impoverished children and youth. She has experience in criminal defense as a law clerk as well.
Ms. Medina handles all aspects of workers’ compensation defense litigation, and excels in thorough legal analysis and research. She has successfully represented insured and self-insured employers and their carriers, PEOs, staffing companies and municipalities. Ms. Medina demonstrates high-quality, aggressive defense of her cases and impressive attention to detail. She implements a proactive case management philosophy in her legal practice to achieve expeditious resolutions.
